A fabulous first time itinerary to India taking in the spiritual, sculptured and famous highlights of North India. Varanasi is India’s oldest living city, it is not an easy destination but it is spiritual, heady (a little dirty in places) but certainly an experience like no other! The early morning boat ride is ethereal and the evening aarti, a spectacle which will remain with you for a lifetime. Khajuraho is famous for its centuries old erotically carved temples, but they are far more than just this, displaying a level of craftsmanship which is astonishing to us even today. Agra, of course, the Taj Mahal, romance and style at its very best and then, in complete contrast to the rest of the itinerary, two of Rajasthan’s most majestic and romantic cities, Jaipur and Udaipur.
