City Walking Tours

There is no better way to explore a city than on foot and this is particularly true of the old cities in India whose lanes are too narrow for cars and whose seemingly chaotic maze-like streets hold a thousand hidden treasures, a new one at every glance. In between the rickshaws and bikes and the occasional cow are the vibrant colours of the wedding bazaars, wonderful spices and vegetables stalls, fragrant flower markets, temples at every turn, and all manner of crafts people from locksmiths to book binders and pickle makers, not forgetting the opportunity to try the local street food. All of this combines to make this a heady experience, fabulous for photography and a great way to meet the people of the cities too.

We recommend sampling at least one guided walking tour on your visit to India, some of our favourite destinations for these are Lucknow, Delhi, Varanasi, Udaipur, Agra, Cochin, Panjim, Mumbai and Amritsar.
