This is a fun, off beat itinerary discovering the highlights of Maharashtra, not as well-known as some states but with a phenomenal diversity! From the 21st Century capital of Mumbai known for Bollywood, shops, art galleries and great food from street food to fine dining! Aurangabad is the base from which to discover one of the largest rock cut cave temples in the world and UNESCO sight of 29 Buddhist rock cut caves dating from 2nd century BC. Then onto discovery one of the newer aspects of Mahrashtra, it’s vineyards which now produce much of India’s wines. Then, head to Goa for some relaxing time at the beach, or discover the markets, restaurants and old town of Fontainhas!
