About
Bamboo Forest Safari Lodge is one of the newest additions to this park which has largely remained off the radar until recent times.  It has been designed to deliver a luxurious experience indoors together with an immersive experience of the outdoors and it does it rather well. The accommodation is mix of villas, chalets, and rooms, all plastered with mud, in the traditional style and are comfortably furnished as well as having lovely thoughtful touches, with miniature brass sculptures and life sized murals of the jungle’s inhabitants and are the perfect place to relax after the day’s safaris – bearing in mind it will be an early start for the next morning too!  The lodge is just a ten minute drive from the Korala Gate of the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve which has a healthy population of tigers as well as an abundance of India’s other wildlife species and birdlife. Breakfast, if not in the park, is served on an outdoor deck with a view of the village lake and its many inhabitants including kingfishers, cormorants and egrets. Buffet lunches are laid out in the dining room, which has a vibrant wall mural of leopards, sambar, and langurs. At tea time, guests are encouraged to go up to the machan, which has sweeping views of the lake, cotton fields, and villages nearby.  This is a great base from which to explore this park packed with wildlife.
