Smaller and less opulent than the better known Rambagh Palace, Jai Mahal is also a former palace which is charming and comfortable and gives a sense of the glory days of the Maharajas without being too overbearing. There are spacious gardens, colourful rooms and a wonderful al fresco Italian restaurant for if you would like a break from Indian cuisine. It is also well located for the shops in Civil Lines.
