Trekking

When it comes to hard core trekking, most people think of Nepal, however, the Indian Himalayas, which stretch across the north of the country spanning the five states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh also provide wonderful, remote and unspoilt trekking opportunities.

If something slightly less strenuous appeals more, then the Himalayan Foothills have beautiful treks too, through orchards and forests, by streams and through charming villages. There are some wonderful hotels in these areas too if you would like to have a little luxury at the end of a day on your feet, or, to have a real cultural experiences, try one of the village house treks, and stay with local families enroute.

If this is your first time to India and you don’t want to miss out on the main sights, then we can also arrange for some wonderful half day treks in the countryside around some of the better-known destinations such as Jaipur and Udaipur.  Let us know at the time of enquiry and we will make sure we work this into the itinerary for you.
