About
The first of its kind, this tree top lodge is one of the most unique and exclusive places to stay in Pench National Park. The luxury tree houses are perched on top of Mahua Trees and supported by stilts. Large French windows allow for an uninterrupted view of the forest and grassland and lets you observe the birds, butterflies and the wild animals at the lodge. Within the grounds, wild boar, civets, jungle cats, jackals and spotted deer can be spotted as you drink your morning tea or the evening sundowner on your private deck. The lodge is located in the picturesque village of Sarahiri, and offers proximity to the Karmajhiri Gate so that safaris are easily accessible. However, in addition to the main jeep safaris in the park, they also offer a range of experiences for you to explore the lodge, the buffer zone and the surrounding villages. Over 100 species have been spotted in the lodge grounds, so even beginner birders can gain a grasp from their accommodation or the public areas. You can join the resident naturalists for interesting Nature trails, on foot or on bicycle in and around the lodge. They also arrange night trails in the lodge and buffer zone, where, armed with torches, you trail through thickets, old forest and grasslands and gives you the chance to spot nocturnal wildlife such as Civets, Owls and more. There is also an Organic Garden and it is possible to participate in the daily farming and gardening activities that happen in their small farm. It is also a great base from which to explore the villages & local bazaars. This is a great way to discover the indigenous crafts and products of the area and more likely than not, get invited to visit a villager's home to share a cup of tea. A stay here is to experience a fully rounded foray into the jungles and their surrounding villages.
